Group prepares to resume fight

From the Swindon Advertiser, first published Saturday 4th Mar 2006.

SWINDON civil liberty group No2ID is getting ready for the next round of the fight in the House of Lords.

Lynda Warren of No2ID said: "It is crucial that the Lords keep heart and insist the government keeps to its manifesto promise, which was that ID Cards would be voluntary.

"Many Peers have argued robustly in defence of our civil liberty."

The ID card Bill returns to the House of Lords on Monday.

The group is leafleting in the town centre today.
