House prices in SN12: Melksham

THE average property price in Melksham is now £193,094 which is just above the national average of £191,430.

Flats in Melksham are still fairly cheap with the average price being £99,950, but you could pay as much as an average of £266,967 for a detached home in the Melksham area. Terraced properties and semi-detached properties are still reasonably priced in the town at an average of £137,000 and £176,000 respectively.

Prices have been stable in the town for the last six months, which is probably due to properties being more realistically priced.

There has been a steady increase in prices in the town over the last four years.

Like Westbury, Melksham has also expanded a lot over the in recent years and there are plans for more developments in the town. The town is now appealing to more and more buyers and it is also handy for commuters as prices are fairly low for average terraced homes or flats.

Melksham is only eight miles from the M4 and six miles from the county town of Trowbridge.

It is also perfectly placed for access to the south west, the south coast, the midlands and London.
