MONKTON Park residents fed up with people using the road outside their homes as a car park are demanding action.
People say they are putting up with cars parked outside their homes all day, often partially blocking their driveways.
Now they are calling for something to be done before the huge development planned for the area including 260 houses and expanding the college goes ahead. more...

A BUST of war leader Winston Churchill is expected to fetch between £10,000 and £12,000 at an auction in Devizes on Saturday ).
The bronze bust is by W Reid Dick, one of the leading British sculptors of his day.
It is one of the star lots in a collectors sale taking place at the salerooms of Henry Aldridge & Son in the Bath Road Business Centre in Devizes at the weekend.
Auctioneer Alan Aldridge describes the bust, which stands about 12 inches high, as quite rare and very desirable.
Two early albums of photographs are sure to attract interest from a wide area. They date from between 1860 and the late 1880s, when photography was still in its infancy, and some of the pictures are highly historic. more...
