IFFY Onuora has yet to perform the maths but in a quieter moment will study Town's next block of fixtures and fix another points target for himself.
After taking the manager's job back in September, Onuora studied the list of opponents and worked out a scale of what would be deemed the minimum and maximum to be chalked up by January.
He said: "We need to keep the points ticking over. I haven't set a total say up to Easter but I will look at our fixtures as I did before the turn of the year.
"Once you work out what's needed then the sooner you get there the better.
"We need a good couple of months to steady everyone's nerves."
Although Town are currently five points adrift of the safety zone, the manager points to the incredibly tight nature of League One.
He said: "You've a little gap to those above us but then a lot of the teams above them are only four or five off a play-off place.
"We just need to keep pushing in the right direction."
