From the Salisbury Journal, first published Friday 6th Jan 2006.

THE Royal Bank of Scotland's commercial services division has appointed Steve George business development manager for south Wiltshire.

Mr George, who joined RBS in 2002 and has 12 years' experience in the industry, will help customers with invoice discounting and factoring.

Ian Cole, director of business development for the south of England, said: "Steve brings with him extensive experience in a range of financial disciplines, but especially in providing alternative solutions to traditional debt finance."

Mr George said: "As a local business development manager based in the local market, I believe that the key is really getting to know the customers' business, offering advice on a consultative basis and listening to their requirements.

"That way we can help to provide a financing package that suits their particular circumstances."
