Think again

I am totally against the proposed cuts to Dial A Ride. I have been using this service for the 17 years out of their 20 years' existence.

Nine of these years were with my late wheelchair-bound husband and now eight years myself. Besides the every day service, they take us on numerous day trips.

So my question to councillor Mike Bawden and Co is: Have you an alternative plan of travel for us at reasonable cost? Being aged, disabled and on limited pension income, we will not be able to afford taxis and some of us have a long walk to a bus stop (that is if you can board the buses).

Please think carefully again and please do not discriminate against us.
