'Scruffy, unkempt' doctor is struck off

A DOCTOR who turned up late for work and reeking of alcohol has been struck off by the General Medical Council.

Dr Adrian Tibbitts had only been employed to work as a locum at the Barcroft Medical Centre, Amesbury, for one day in June 2001.

But he left such an impression that he was not invited back, a GMC hearing was told last week.
