THE Gazette published a popular aerial supplement that gave readers a birdseye view of their towns and villages.

It was an excellent opportunity to see exactly what an impact new housing estates have had on the county.

The pictures will provide a lasting reminder of the landscape as it was in 2005 for generations to come.

As well at town centre pictures a number of landmarks were also captured.

One of the most spectacular was the Caen Hill flight of locks in Devizes. There were also pictures of many of the county's stately homes such as Bowood and Corsham Court.
