Clamp down on these morons

TIM Benson's letter (SA, January 20) about the vandalism to the Christmas tree emphasises the feelings of the majority of Wroughton residents, for it is only a few who are creating the mayhem in this once peaceful village.

They are the lowest of the low and an electric shock would have been what they deserved. The hard work put into the Christmas and carnival celebrations by the committee warrants the full support of the residents, not the mindless destruction carried out by the morons who seem to delight in destroying their work.

The Adver's editorial on the same day as Tim's letter had it right, what we need is police in civvies and unmarked police cars, for at the sight of a police car and a uniform these mindless morons disappear.
